The Trustees have reflected on the grant applications received over the past years and have not felt that they truly reflected the mission and purpose of Irene Prestwich. They have therefore decided that they wish to make their grants more sustainable and, rather than entirely one-off grants, will give grants over a longer three-year period. The hope is that this novel approach will encourage new changemakers to fulfil their vision for projects which bring about change in themselves and their communities. There will be an expectation from the Trustees that the applicants will be able to show how their organisational/business plans demonstrate how the values of honesty, purity, unselfishness and love are at the heart of their practice and decision making.

These grants must show, in detail, how the project will demonstrate the promoting and encouraging of the Christian values of reconciliation, peace, truth telling and/or the fundamental belief in human rights.

The trustees are keen to see what plans the applicants have to make the project sustainable and how all participants will have access to support and encouragement after the funded project is completed.
